URAC–accredited Fonemed delivers improved health outcomes and contains costs in population health management by providing telehealth solutions throughout the continuum of care. Our patient-driven Population Health Management Solutions support our clients' programs. Clinicians employ our protocols, communications and information technology to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health. Fonemed provides a continent-wide roster of clinicians with licenses and specialties to support clients' applications, evidenced based best practice clinical protocols for symptom based illness triage support and programs designed for remote applications. Fonemed supports a robust and scalable cloud based information technology infrastructure through its proprietary operating system. How teleproviders are recruited:
FONEMED has an extensive recruitment process and requires the following of all teleprovider hires: Qualifications and Experience: • Three years recent clinical experience, pediatrics and adult (Emergency Department triaging is preferred). Most triage calls are pediatric, and come from throughout North America . • Preferred experience is 1 or more years recent experience in telephone triage using electronic triage software and computerized medical protocols/guidelines. • Experience using the Barton Schmitt/David Thompson guidelines will be an asset. • Strong communication skills. • Strong clinical assessment skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced constantly changing environment is a must, maintain FONEMED standards of an average of 4-5 triage calls per hour. • Computer skills within a Windows environment and keyboarding ability. • Active RN licensure in state of residence. Must be willing to apply for additional licensure at employer's request (reimbursement provided). Many of our nurses are licensed in several states. • Bilingual English/Spanish or another language will be considered an asset.
